Certification/Quality
PAVATEX has been synonymous with quality for many decades We extend the meaning of the term "quality" beyond our products to the entire company. Quality is all-encompassing: Products, services, processes, employees, decisions, safety, environmental protection and more.
Given this context, our sense of quality is an integral part of a comprehensive and far-reaching management system. It describes and governs all relevant processes and responsibilities and is inspected and certified in accordance with the following international standards and regulations on a regular basis:
As of 2008:
ISO 14001
Since 2006:
BBA
-Guidelines (British Board of Agrément)
Since 2003:
FSC
- guidelines (Forest Stewardship Council)
Since 2000:
EKAS
safety regulation (Institute for the Prevention, Protection and Welfare at Work
Since 1998:
ISO 9001
-Standard for Q systems (certified since 2002 according to issue 2000)
As a result of systematic improvement and permanent review, our management system can maintain a consistently high level. Because we believe that this is the only way to provide our clients with service at the highest level of expertise in this domain.
To the same extent that we subject the entire company to strict quality guidelines, we also offer comprehensive safety with our certified constructions that are based on current standards and regulations. This level of quality is continuously monitored by independent institutions.
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
The Forest Stewardship Council (Welforstrat) is an international independent organization and at the same time a seal of approval for timber products. The objective of the FSC is worldwide support of environmentally friendly and socially responsible forest management. This goal is to be achieved by the certification of WALDBETRIEBE through independent inspectors.
Die Chain of Custody (CoC)
If retailers (i.e. Migros, OBI) or the crafts (i.e. carpenters) are to offer wood products with the FSC seal of approval, evidence has to be provided that the wood is derived from FSC certified forests and was processed only by certified companies. This chain of custody includes manufacturing as well as trading companies. In order to receive such a CoC certification, work and procedure instructions are to be prepared ensuring that a combination of certified and un-certified wood is avoided. Further, purchasing, production and sold quantities need to be recorded and submitted to the authorized certifying organization. Certified derived timber products, such as wood fiber boards, do not necessarily have to be made to 100 % of FSC wood. Since 2005, the minimum quantity of FSC wood is 50 %. These guidelines stipulate that the percentage rate needs to be declared together with the logo.
PAVATEX is FSC certified
For many years, PAVATEX has been supporting all international efforts for environmentally-friendly methods and products. Since 2004, the entire range of soft fiber products can be manufactured according to the FSC guidelines. Both PAVATEX SA plants in Fribourg and Cham are FSC certified.
